where am i....

So a friend of mine asked me to come watch his hockey game yesterday afternoon. I didn't have anything else to do and it was free, so I was all over it. BTW...it's a great way to keep cool in these here dog daze heading into summer.

So I trek over to Southern Ice, grab my jacket (yes...it is rather cool in there) and head in. Now my friend informed me his team was wearing black uniforms. He's a goalie and padded from head to toe, so there just isn't much to recognize. There are two rinks. I looked in at the one on the left and there were kids on the ice, so I opted for rink #2. Yep, there were guys in blue and white, and guys in black & gray. This has to be it! I settle in to watching. Now granted, these rec teams are not the Nashvile Preds. However, it really was good entertainment, and again...free.

Game over.

I wander out into the lobby to wait on my friend and take a peek back in at rink #1.

WHAT????????

There stands my friend in the goalie position with his name on the back of his uniform!! I had watched the wrong game!!

I did manage to catch 12 minutes of the last period of his game, and we did get a good laugh from my mistake.

Yep...the hair may be darker now, but the blonde runs through and through ;)
